Interestingly the GPO’s that map printers seem to work consistently without error. This seems related only to network drives. I would really appreciate it if you could reach out to the team inside Microsoft responsible for group policy and get their feedback on this issue.

I have found many examples of this issue being reported by other organisations in other online forums describing a similar issue. The reason that GPO has a “denied” is valid.

It is not targeting that user, and they do not have permissions other than “authenticated Users” read only on the GPO policy. Did you have any other suggestions? Are you able to escalate this to the right Team in Microsoft? Are you able to provide any further help? Can anyone assist with this?
